History of the Company R&S Transport was incorporated on November 22, 1976. Donald Shank was elected President and J.B. Rife was appointed Vice President in Logansport, Indiana. On July 9, 1977 Don Shank retired and J.B. Rife became the President and Gloria Rife, J.B.'s wife, became the Secretary/Treasurer. R&S Transport was moved to it's present location in Winamac, Indiana on November 1, 1978. It expanded to a larger location and added another lot, which was named the South Lot. It holds dismantled trucks and is located about two blocks south of our main building on U.S. 35 in Winamac. On January 1, 1997, J.B. & Gloria both retired. Their son, Jeff, and daughter-in-law, Dawn, purchased the business. Some major changes took place that year. First was the name change from R&S Transport to Rife Heavy Duty Truck Parts, Inc. We felt the name change fit better to what we specialize in. Second came a complete face lift to our showroom. We have cleaned out the front showroom and made a lounge area for our customers,a new parts room and offices. Finally came the sales and delivery staff. Kevin and Taylor handle sales. Darla handles outside parts that she will find on our parts locator service for you. Zale is our delivery man and is ready to go anytime. Butch is our rebuilder who has been with us for 10 years. In November 2004 a new goal was reached when we moved into our new 15,000 square foot facility located at what was known as the South Lot. With three service bays, both an inside and outside "cut" area, a new updated rebuilder's area for Butch, and a well organized used and rebuilt parts area. We also added a wrecker for any of our customers who may need a little extra help getting here.
